I got another freaking ticket on Saturday. But this time around it was a parking ticket. For freaking parking on my cousin's front lawn!
And not only did he write me one ticket, he wrote me 4 fucking tickets. Asshole.
I know i deserved the speeding ticket I got last week, but cmon now, this is just bullshit.

there are still parking regulations even on private property... for example the shopping mall is private property and you can be cited for fire lane, handicapped parking spots etc... at a residence there are restrictions about parking within a certain distance from the street etc... but yeah that was pretty dick

Parked on my cousins front lawn. Partially in the street, but who doesn't park in the street sometimes?
So one ticket for "facing wrong direction", one for "obstructing traffic", another for "parking in neutral ground", and one more for "within moving traffic lane"
Although when I look around at other cars parked in the street, I don't see any bright orange citations on THEIR cars.
Supposedly the grass between the sidewalk and the street belongs to the city, therefore I can't park there. I'm just angry b/c I didn't see anyone else get ticketed except for me. Asshat.

Here's an ordinance for the obstructing traffic.
Sec. 11:421. Parking not to obstruct traffic.
No person shall stand or park any vehicle or permit any vehicle registered in his name to be standing or parked upon a street, highway or within an alley in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than ten (10) feet of the width of the street, highway or alleyway for free movement of vehicular traffic or blocking the driveway entrance to any abutting property.

Go to court. It will be dismissed. If you don't own a red bike? If any information on a ticket in inaccurate it is grounds for dismissal!

Why is it a kangaroo court? A decent lawyer(yes I know no such thingasdf ) could help.
Best piece of advice I can give anyone when dealing with an LEO of any type is don't have an attitude, even if they do. Treat them with the respect they think they deserve and they will(usually) take it easy on you.
The last ticket I received this method helped greatly.The LEO involved bent over backwards to help me get the ticket(s) dismissed. Although my background may have helped.
Previous encounters resulted in just warnings.

IMO,livingston is THE most Ass Backwards parish in the state.
where eles can you hit your wife in the head with a hammer,and get a 5000.00 bond,but get caught smoking a hooter,and get a 25000.00 bond for possession???
the above is not me,just what i watched while sitting in court one day..
A lawyer,he better be born and bread in livingston,or else they might even put him in jail with ya.. they dont take kindly to strangers out there..
one of my lawyers has been out there 7 years now,and just in the past 2 years,will the judges take a meeting with him in the office..

Sounds like the time when 17 people got pulled over at the same time on sportbikes in Port Vincent and ALL given a speeding ticket (same speed as bike # 1) and ALL were found guilty...

That is the easy ticket to beat. They needed a better lawyer. When a cop pulls over a car on the interstate do the cars in front stop?
I have been with people being pulled over before in Port Vincent and the back guy pulled over and the rest of us just went wait at Fred's. I have also been the last guy pulled over only to have the cop keep going after the group. I just turned around and left that was near Roxie Mississippi.
I got a ticket in Killian that Hunter pulled over for with me. I was like what the hell are you doing? He got a ticket too for 2 mph faster than mine. It was a $80 ticket and it never showed up on my record.
Do you still have to go to the village meeting to contest a ticket in Port Vincent?

Not race, the color of my car was white and not red.
I think I might just pay the ticket since its only 60 bucks. If I go to court, I'll lose a day's of work plus whatever the court charges me. Whaddaya think?

Then the lost wages. If you make more that the ticket costs, yeah, pay it and go about your daily chores...

That right there is the reason these assholes have jobs. FUCK that asshole cop. I recommend going back to the scene, parking the bike exactly how it was and taking tons of pictures. Show up in court dress approaitely (sp) and contest the fucking bullshit. It will be an all day affair but stay there no matter how long it takes. I regret taking the "deal" last time I had a bullshit ticket as I still had to pay the $50 fine. At least you will show the bully that you are willing to stand your ground.

It won't cost you any more money as you are paying the court cost weather or not you win. The outcome all depends on the judge. I would still fight it though...it was a bullshit ticket.

I got a ticket once for parking too close to a driveway. The minimum distance is suposed to be 3 feet. I had a ruler in my truck (yes, I'm a redneck) and it measured 2 feet 8 inches. I got a ticket for a lousy 4 inches.
Oh, and I got pulled over 2 days ago for splitting lanes. Fortunately, the guy was off duty and didn't have his ticket book in the car. (Unmarked car by the way!)
