Yeah Rocky, at first I didn't want to leave the pavement.... didn't have a choice... I was at the mercy of inertia

Than I didn't want to hit the trees, I tryed to ride the shoulder out to aviod the tree's.....

When It was clear that me and the tree line where going to meet I tryed to hit the lightest spot....... thank god I hit where I hit. I don't know if you can see it... but about 8 inches to my left was a tree laid down facing the road. I could have been stuck like a old jousting match. Sometimes I wonder why things happen.

Sometimes I think I just need to slow down, I don't know whats worse people messing with you for going slow... or them picking on you after you have a mishap......qwer Either way, I walked/rode away so I would have to say it was a good day.

I am starting to wonder there Jiame.... I think someone is def. looking out for me. And I know I was pissin and moaning about what happened, but I always forget to look at it in retrospect and the fact it can always be allot worse. Lucky for me I have people to help me out and make me realize what really happened. That and I have a KLR, this bike is a trooper!

I have to say I almost swallowed my heart when I looked back and I was all alone.....Brings back bad memories from my past. I was Just happy to see you get up brother. Those pine tree's could have really ruined your 4th festivities.

DSRL rule # 16. Once we establish that the down rider is in good health We will laugh poke at and ridicule and take as many pics as we see fit. See example below.

you need to add a line to all your bike for sale ads. ..."take a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!" those toyota tacoma ads have nothing on you, man. i bet you're the only guy who could toss his klr off a cliff, come up unscathed, and ride off into the sunset with the biggest s*$#-eating grin.

glad you are ok and that you had a great day, none the less. so, did you get the big ol' barndoor style windshield?

Juice, that photo of the 1200GS should be in advertising!! Nice Photo... nice bike too, Jay!!

Scooter, glad to hear you made out of the straight corner with minor damage. I watched a friend of mine do something similar... scared the hell out of me. All he had was a scratch on his elbow and broken pride. :)

It's never fun to watch it happen, but it's great fun to rag on the rider after-the-fact... (Provided he/she wasn't hurt bad.)
