The old and the new. I was looking for the brightest most obnoxious helmet I could find. The gold says bling, the flowers say it's ok to have a feminine side, and the glitter says pre-school art project.

It is by far the best fitting helmet I have ever owned, but it is also the loudest. I typically ride with a set of ear buds stuffed in my ears. I'll have to stash some ear plugs in my jacket for the days I don't listen to music from now on.

The Suomy is much lighter than the Arai too. I would say that I could tell the difference when riding, but I think the fact that it fits my fat arse head so well made more of a difference.

Helmet Experience:
Bell: Cannot wear cuz of my head shape, very uncomfortible.

Shoei: Nice fit, but the inside fell apart quickly. (Then my sister jumped off the back of a Buell while wearing it, which sent it to an early retirement.)

Arai: Better fit, long shape hit the back of my jacket while riding the Busa, which was a pain in the neck. More so with my winter jacket.

Suomy: Incredible fit, light, and LOUD.

Nice looking lid. With a helmet like that the cagers might actually SEE you!
Suomy (& Shark) make some awesome looking helmets. I personnally like the Bostrom Tattoo by Suomy. Got all kinds of loud colors (gold, yellow, orange, even blue)!

I currently have a Shoei (TZ-1) but been thinking about getting a Suomy. Love the fit of the Shoei but its kinda noisy. How does the wind noise of the Suomy compare to the Shoei?

The Suomy is by far the LOUDEST helmet I have ridden with. It is as loud if not louder than my motorcross helmet on the road. I would be hard pressed to ride more than 30 minutes without hearing protection or an mp3 player.

My wife has the same lid but the Old Style without all the "Bling". She Loves it. Nice lid BTW.

Neat helmet...

I like EJ's idea, stick baby bottle nipple on his helmet cause he looks like a boob while wearing it.

:Jacked:

I am looking to buy a helmet but it has to be a large and Snell SA1995 or SA2005 rated so I wear it in my race car. If anyone one has a large helmet with that rating for sale let me know.

Thanks,
"G"

I heard that Arai was the beez knees of helmets. Several friends have them and love them. How was it for noise and waterleaks in the rain? Ventillation?
I have an Icon now that is OK I guess. I had to return it twice for defects before I actually got one that wouldn't fall apart. I was thinking of upgrading to an Arai next time.
