Hit a dog and went down.
Was heading to meet some friends in Baton Rouge for a ride. Turning right off of LA 10 onto Joe Daniels Rd. A dog jumped up out of some tall weeds right at the corner. Maybe he was sleeping and I scared him, anyway he ran right into my front tire as I was starting to roll on the gas at the apex. I had no time to react, he was 5 feet away when I first saw him. Luckily I was going only 5-10 mph, since that corner always looks sandy. Lowsided and twisted my right foot, a little gouge in my boot, not sure what it hit, banged my right elbow on the pavement. the VFR's upper fairing is scraped and cracked at the signal light, bar end, knuckle guard and corner of Givi are all scuffed. Givi probably prevented more damage.
Foot is a little swollen and painful to walk, no problem riding tho. Maybe the worst part of all: my brand new (Thursday) helmet, a late fathers day gift from Stacie is scuffed.Oops
