Bob Courtney loved the pics everybody took and asked me to narrate a “voice over”. What a blast!
From cruisers, to Jamie James custom rockets, to dirt bikes and radical custom choppers;
LA Rider has something for everyone!

Seems LA Rider is gonna start a new segment for viewers’ rides and pictures;

so I suggest everyone “stay tuned” to DSRL & LA Rider;

there’s plenty more great Dual Sport Adventures to come!

Thanks Juice, for all your efforts,
and to all you members, who make this site such a success!

Thanks12

Thanks for offering! How do you "capture" the video to your PC and what format is it saved to? The reason I ask is I don't have a DVD player!

No DVD player?? I thought I was late to the party and I didn't get one until about 2-3 years ago. :D You can get one now for about $50, some even less.

My computer has a video capture card and I have that connected to my cable box. I use a little utility program to capture the feed as an avi file to my harddrive. Then I usually edit out the commercials and render it to DVD format and burn the dvd. The avi file will probably be a little too large to copy to a blank DVD in that format. Does your computer have a DVD-ROM drive, if not a DVD burner? You could play the DVD on either one of those and watch it on your computer.

I am embarasked to admit that about 98.7% off all my disposable $ has over th last 5 years has been spent on motorcycles, part or accessories. No, that is a lie, I aint embarassed I'm PROUD! Actually I am about to buy a DVR to go with the awesome Sony HDTV and HD sat box my wife just bought me for my birthday, (that and a bottle of Woodford Reserve).

But back to the subject: If you will be so kind as to upload your AVI file to my online file folder www.onlinefilefolder.comI can play it on my PC. Or I could download it to my laptop and hook the laptop up to my new TV! WooHoo. And I can convert it to WMV and post it on my website videos page where I post Tinos NPR track videos.
http://www.barrowcreek.com/hsta/videos.htm

Or I can just get a copy of the DVD and play it when I get my DVR!

Any way: thanks again for capturing the video!

Bob

Didn't mean it that way. I just thought you were frugal.

I'll be glad to upload it if my crappy cable connection will allow me to. My download speeds are fine, but upload sucks sometimes. If nothing else I'll mail you a disc with the file on it. Or I could go ahead and render it to a slightly compressed .wmv file first.

Plus the offer was for free DVDs to any who want one. I figure I'm talking 10 or so max, for those that won't be able to see it.

Of course I'll be watching it on my lo-def CRT TV. :D

Well at least it wasn't a video of you tipping over, and you didn't need 6 men to help you pick your bike back up.

Interesting game with the hot dog on a string.

She only rides Harleys, or maybe a metric cruiser in a pinch. :D

Thanks for the kind words guys, but y'all are the ones that make this such a success!

And thanks for posting the link to the segment!
We just got back in town last night and I just got to see it.
That was pretty short, but,
Bob is always looking for feedback from the audience.

So how about everyone drop him a line and let him know what you liked (or disliked) about it.

And if y'all would like to see more Dual-Sport rides, activities and reports on LA Rider,
send him your ideas and reports and pics!
