Jason70360 and I are heading out tomorrow afternoon for a two and a half day ride around southwestern Mississippi which will include Red Bluff rd. and some of Weave's super secret backroads (thanks Roadmaster). Most of the ride will be played by ear more or less, with waypoints and certain roads highlighted and connected by going "dis-a-way" and "dat-way". We're going to grab a room in Franklinton or somewhere around there, ride all day Thursday, stop somewhere along the way Thursday night, and then take a few backroads home on Friday.

If anyone has the day off and feels like hitting a few curves or just riding some miles, give me a call. 985-665-7961. Leave a voicemail if I don't answer right away. I know Nextel doesn't have the best coverage up around there. We will be sticking to pavement since one of us will be on a CBR that wants to be a GS when it grows up. Ya'll can figure out which.

Damn it Ted, when you see my girl in her new shoes you will be drooling!

Yall will finally see what I am talking when we post the pics from this ride. She looks FINE! Also when you see her remember she can be yours in a few months for the right price!

P.S.- If any one is trying to get intouch with us and Ted's "Nextime Phone" isn't working, feel free to hit me on my Cingular.

Due to the impressive fury of Mother Nature this ride has been postponed a few hours. The red and yellow that covers the radar north of New Orleans all the way to Columbia just looks too menacing and although we don't mind riding in the rain, riding through lightning just isn't my cup of tea. So, after talking to Weave for a bit this afternoon and his description of the weather up there, we're just going to wait to head out early in the morning.

Damn this southern summertime weather.

Yeah everyone you heard it right. Ted called me crying this afternoon, he was terrified about getting wet. Yeah right huh, we will hit the roads at 6am, hopefully we'll stay pretty dry since my Michelin Pilot Powers have less than 10 miles on them.

Well eveyone, you missed a great time. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, we never even caught one drop of rain!

We left my house around 6am Thursday and rode about 500 miles and stopped in Jackson for the night. On Friday we hit the highway home and made it back for 12:45pm.

Ted will have one of his famous ride reports up soon. I am sure he can make Red Bluff seem like South America with his vocabulary.

On a side note, even though I fell in love with my 954 again and Ted claims it pulls as hard as the last Busa he rode, I will be selling her shortly. My wife has made the commitment to ride with me and there is no room on the 954. So keep your eyes peeled if you are interested in having one of the finest liter bikes around!
