I've just picked up an adventure 8 gallon tank for my GS Cool12

Anybody have a suggestions on who I can see about custom painting it and my front fender? I'm leaning towards purple and gold tiger stripes........

My Buddy Brad Opened a shop on Perkins about two years ago. I'm not sure if he is still doing bikes. I know he use to paint a lot of Harley's years ago. Ask for Brad and tell him Brian Noble sent ya.

Hey Juice,

I brought my tank by Brad's today. He's busy, but he's going to give me a price. Thanks for the info. He seems to be a really nice guy!

a buddy of mine out in central does custom paint jobs as his hobby, he's pretty good and cheap, he just loves the job, i'll ask him if he'll do a tank, im sure he will. He'll paint anything he can get his hands on.

Hey Juice!

No, it dawned on me that it would be cheaper to change the front beak to match the silver Adv. tank. The dealership that I bought the tank from had the beak too so I picked it up for $90 and now I have a silver GS. qwer Not my first choice, but going through a divorce (unwanted from my side) I'm having to pinch my pennies. I doubt if you can relate though...just kidding! Another reason why I haven't been in the mood to post in the last few months......

I did ride it to Mandeville yesterday. It's amazing how comfortable I am driving it in the rain. I've always felt complete stability (with good tread) and just keep on a cruising a good speed. It's the only bike I've ever been able to do that with in the rain.

Hope all is going well with DSRLA gang!

And I thought it was just me that thought the GS felt more secure in the rain

Nope, like MWM said, with good tread those summer afternoon showers are a pleasure to ride through, even on curvy roads! I love running mine in the rain.

True, True.. My thoughts on this was that it takes your mind off where you are going and other junk and gets you into that paying attention trance mode. You just slow down a little, watch the road, and take better lines in the wet. Yesterday in the rain though it was coming at me sideway such that it was bouncing up under the chin of my helmet that was aggravating.

Cars are nicer to me in the rain too. I guess they feel sorry for me. Little do they know I left two cars at home to ride in the rain.
