I got it in last night and put it on the bike, looks better than the stock unit. Also has a trigger for the brights (for when passing), and the nicer push button release on the blinkers. But the reason in buying it is for the ability to turn off the headlights while poking through the woods (have read that batterys can loose a charge with this type of riding). But you can run no lights, just tail light and speedo/tach lights, or full lights. Starts up faster with the light off to. The unit was $79.95 and around $87 and some change shipped. I haven't got to ride with it yet, but I am sure it will help. So that is the report on it thus far....... Stay tuned for the next farkle report.......
Till then.... good day!
Kevin
You could get real fancy and make it auto. Say... let the light come on @ 30mph.

I am not that sophisticated. Good idea, but that would be way to fancy for the KLR. Plus what happens when I am trying to drive home at night and I go below 30? lol I know what you mean. Someone might want to do that.
