Saw it on the news this morning. Truck had heavy damage. High speeds were involved. The bike was a Kawasaki Green sport bike.

MOTORCYCLIST DIES AFTER CRASHING INTO TRUCK


At 4:36 PM, on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, Louisiana State Police
Troop A responded to a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality. The
crash occurred on LA Hwy 931 east of LA Hwy 932 in Ascension Parish.

Two vehicles, a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche and a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja
motorcycle, were traveling east and west respectively on LA Hwy 931. The
Chevrolet Avalanche began to make a left turn onto road and was struck
on the passenger side by the Kawasaki Ninja. After impact the rider of
the motorcycle was ejected through the windshield.

The driver of the motorcycle, Ronald J. Lane, Jr. (W/M/Age 35) of
Gonzales, LA, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene
by the Ascension Parish Coroners Office. The driver of the 2005
Chevrolet Avalanche, Blake Mora (W/M/Age 27) of Prairieville, LA, sustained
moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Acadian
Ambulance. A seatbelt and helmet were used and alcohol use is not
suspected. No charges have been filed as this crash remains under
investigation.

Yeah, i saw it on my way home. Really bad one, looks like a combo of factors involved.
