Oh, also, I am going to boil on some secluded beach for my wifes birthday. So I have to bring ALL the stuff with me.....

Get your seasoned water up to a boil. Throw your shrimp in. As soon as the water gets to boiling again, shut it off. Seriously, shrimp take like 30 seconds to cook. Any longer and they get tough.
Practice with a pound on the stove before the secluded night.

Another thing. Those big shrimp over about 25 count don't boil well. In order to cook them all the way through you have to overcook the outside. Then you have rubbery shrimp.
Now you could also bring a little weber grill without the legs on the beach and grill some. It will be just as good without all the lugging the boiler, water, etc.
All you'd need is seasoned shrimp in a ziplock, bamboo skewers, the little grill, and a little charcoal. It would be easier to grill up some veggies for sides too.
I'm getting hungry now. Man.

I throw them in seasoned boiling water, bring them back to a boil then turn off the fire and let them sit for 2 minutes. I then drain most of the water out and dump ice on top. This stops them from cooking and makes them easy to peel.
