These guys are awesome to watch. Occassionally someone will have a Beemer or Kawi, as smooth as the Harleys just without the "potato-potato" sound.
We got some local boys that do really good in this too. I plan on going to watch! Thanks, Doug!

Thanks Doug. I've been wondering when this was. Somehow I manage to miss it every year. Well one year it was raining the day I wanted to go. It really is amazing what they can do. And they come from all over. I think one year some came from Canada.
ALL SPECTATORS WELCOME, SO COME ON OUT!
Any Voulnteers out there ?!? Fishing12
All volunteers need to show up at 7:00 AM for Orientation & a quick Training session.
In the event you could not make it that early, plesae call Trey Chaney and coordinate with him 261-2867.
If you've been a judge before, wear your RED SHIRT. If you havn't been a judge before, a RED SHIRT will be provided
until they run out, so if you have a SOLID RED SHIRT, please wear it.
The rules are fairly simple from what I gathered from the website; http://www.gulfcoastmcrodeo.com/rules.htm
The object of the competition is to receive NO penalty points. All competitors begin with a score of ZERO
PENALTY POINTS—Penalty points for all riders will be assessed as follows:
• Touch a cone-1 point penalty
• Knock a cone down-3 points penalty
• Put a foot down-5 points penalty
• Drop the motorcycle-10 points penalty
• Fail to complete an exercise-10 points penalty
Each event has it's own stipulations which may vary, (like the Team Slow Ride, etc.)
but that's what the Training Session will be for at 7:00am on Saturday Nov. 4.
The event will run until about 4:00 pm, so volunteers would be free to leave and come back later if necessary.
If you can volunteer, please call Trey Chaney at 261-2867 and leave a message.
Thanks12

I have a friend who is a LA. motorcycle State Trooper. I went to this a few years ago and we stayed in his camper in the parking lot. I rode his LA. State Trooper bike in the Cortana Mall parking lot at 2 AM, scraping the floorboards with lites and sirens blaring! It was a blast! But on a serious note, these boys can RIDE. I know all of us are either dual sport or sportbike guys (I am both) and sort of turn our noses up to cruiser type bikes. Especially those that say 'Hardley Davidson' on the tanks, but those guys can make them big fat gurls dance. If you have the chance you should go and check it out. It will definitelly give you more respect for the boys in blue on two wheels.
I was watching the guys in the warm-up pen one year and it's the only time I've ever seen a Police motorcycle carry a wheelie! (It was a Sheriff's KZ1000)
Impressive show !
