View Full Version : Washed and waxed my bike really well today

Had to get all them friggen love bugs off the thing... I think this is the first time I've actually washed the bike rather than using Honda polish to clean it... turned out pretty well... Used Eagle One wet car wash...

Then a Mother's California Gold Clay Bar kit

Then Meguiars NXT spray wax

Then used Honda Polish on the wheels and misc. smaller panels.
Then used simichrome on the exhaust.
Then used sun of a gun vinyl/rubber protectant on the seats and edge of the tires.

erm why its just on the sidewall not on the tread at all....

haha I've never done it before just decided if you are going to do it you might as well do it right huh?

Centrifugal forcce will sling that stuff out to the tread. I wouldn't want slick rubber anywhere near the road.

i let it dry completely before I ride... I've rode 150 miles since then and none of it has slinged off or budged... I don't do it anytime I wash it just once n a while for photo ops :)

Heh yes but I like free food at Friendly... y'all needa start riding on Tuesday nights or something! then it can be DSR bike nite on tuesdays, laffy/no on wednesdays and friendly on thursdays.... and I do ride it... just not where y'all do? lol I have almost 6k miles on it its not like I never ride it heh...

Ohhh and no detailing for me... it took like 3 1/2 hours to do my bike and now its dirty again... sucks not having a garage :( oh well...

we need a group ride down to get some Chinese food and that's almost guarantying i would go :)
