Saturday October 14th, 2006. Me and the wife are going to ride over to the Boomtown casino on the Biloxi back bay for Dungeness Crab and a few hands of Pai Gow poker. Leaving Baton Rouge at 4:00 pm. It’s 2 hours of superslab there and 2 hours home and about 4 hours in between for food and entertainment.. That should put us home around midnight.

October can be funny up there, sometimes it's in the 80's and other times it can be in the 30's. Snow is starting to fall in the passes around mid-late Oct. so they may get some chilly temps.......but to bare through them makes for some amazing photo oportunities! I'm jealous JayD.

Juice, tell Monkey's Love that "Pakow" is the way Nikki screamed it, so that's the way I remember it! The shocker strikes again...Oops

I'm hoping I'm not to late for the yellows, reds/russets, oranges set against the green pines and white mountains and clear azure skies

We'll see

Dood.....
where are your Cajun Reeboks?

Lol, short white shrimp boots woulda been as comfortable as italian loafers compared to the hip boot/suit we had to wear when working on a Alaska fishing boat asdf

If you notice at the top of the pic, there is something hanging in the rigging.....
It's fish drying into a "jerky" as it's cold and dry enough to do it that way

That looks delicious! I assume y'all will be riding? Stacie loves casinos but we try not to ride after dark due to my poor night vision. We might tag along in the Miata though.

I just got back from Colorado. I got snowed on 3 days straight temps were in the low 20's at night above 9000 feet. Leadville was in the freakin' teens. The storms up there had knocked most of the leafs off the Aspens in the high country by the time I left.

By October the resorts will be making snow, so you should be able to go skiing. It's nice riding up there when the roads are not iced over.

I got some good roads through New Mexico too. Send me a email and I can send you the tracks from my trip.

Something else that was new... West Texas Speed limit: 80MPH.

Here is a pic of me and da' boy on Sept 16th. http://images19.fotki.com/v22/photos/3/302107/4040314/IMG_2208-vi.jpg

Wow what timing, Just the other day I was thinking of a ride to Biloxi! (although 2 hours of slab is not exactly what "I" had in mind) I was kinda thinking of 4 hours of dirt when possible, maybe through Bogalusa, Pearl etc. Then burn up some forest roads in DeSoto NF.

This weekend is bad for me anyway, already planned a trip to Mena to try and catch the fall colors of the Ozarks. I'm probably a week or 2 early for the peak.

Have fun, cya on the flip.
