looks pretty nice, however, i don't understand why they decreased the travel on the shocks?

of course now that our crew is rolling 4 deep in KLR's they decide to change 'em. Looks good though.

looks like they listened to what were some of the most wanted upgrades ....seat, electrical, brakes. i agree on the point of kawasaki missing the boat. this bike would be awesome as a twin.

Would be better if they had kept the long travel in the shocks. The shock upgrade is much appreciated, but not to the tune of 2 inches less travel.
It sure does look prettier though. I wonder what kind of power it has over the original?

So much of the travel on the existing models was used in sag.
The other upgrades were sorely needed IMO, looks like a decent upgrade.

I have never been much of a fan of the Pig KLR. But that baby looks nice. Thumbs up to the guys at Kawasaki for finally getting something right.

The sag thing is true... and yes... it is a good upgrade. I just wish they had left the seat height the same.
Of course, a lot of people go with lowering links on the KLR... I'd imagine that's the theme Kawasaki was seeing when they used the shorter shocks.
I will have to ride one when they come out to see how it handles!
