View Full Version : Which paint scheme for my bike?

I've been wanting to get my new/used adv tank and front fender painted. Which one of these do ya'll like the best? Is there another color scheme (on the tiger strip pattern) that you might suggest?

My vote is for the yellow with the purple stripes.

With that "beak" paint it in a Pteradactyl theme!

Not a bad idea, but it would probably be hard for people to tell what it's suppose to look like. I've tried thinking of all kinds of schemes and it just seems easier to paint it LSU tiger stripe color, at lesat for the BR area.............

Hmmm
A big yellow eye, teeth, scales on the sides.......the whole Jurassic Park thing

I think that a solid color would look best. I like that shade of yellow but not with the stripes......

It's a massive gas tank though and I'm trying to break up the size some with a pattern................

When you paint it make sure you paint the cases to match.

The only thing though is the tank and fender paint job is pushing a grand! I don't even want to ask how much it would be to add the cases too......

It started with me needing to paint the new/used tank, because there are a couple of dents in it. Instead of just painting it back one solid color I started trying to come up with a tiger stripe paint scheme and this is where I'm at now. Actually I should just put the new tank on and save my mulla!
