Well, a 2007 R1200GSA with the new ABS is about to go out the door. It was apparently sold while still in the crate !Cool12
Kinda like the Buff --- ugly but cool !!

Yea, I was there today checking it out while it was sitting in the parking lot. Brought mine in for the 18k mile check up. The new adv. are gorgeous bikes, but I can't help getting a funny feeling in my pants when I look over and see mine covered in dirt, worn out knobbies, scratched up heads, sheared skid plate bolts, and think back to each adventure that has caused such development of those personality scars.

Nothing makes a bike look better than the dirt and dents that come with miles.

I thought BMWs came shipped on soft pillows, not crates??

Actually, the crates are a titanium alloy with carbon fiber brackets attatched to the bottom holding up SILK pillows that the bike rests on. I hear that the LT even comes with a real gold plated shipping label.

Ooo ok that makes more sense. When you said crate, I was thinking Honda crate. Thats probably why they cost such a pretty penny...

Not envy...more like "Hmmm....WHY?". Reminds me of Hummer H-1 driversqwer.

I do not understand why below average riders need such superior bikes.

Well,
** Bird's eye update **
I was at Hebert's today looking for a part and saw a guy take delivery of a brand new 2007 GSA (Silver). He was from Vicksburg, Ms. He told me that he had done some searching and the 2 closest places was Memphis and here. I was afraid to tell him Little Rock had them..
He didn't look like he was hurting tho~ He was coming off of a Harley Fat Boy to get this and drove down here in his 2006 Range Rover LR3. He figured that he could get the bike while he LR was being serviced!!!

Yes, everyone who lives in Vicksburg is rich!
I will have to keep an eye out for this bike. I only know of 2 other D/S riders in V'burg and they each ride a KLR650.
You didn't happen to get a name, did you?

I forgot his first name but the last name is Tidwell. Tall guy, about 6'4" 6'5".
What caught my eye was his Land Rover LR3. Sweet ride... sweet.
