Well, my friend Kit said he wanted to break in his KLR. (He got it about 2 weeks ago.) So we did it right.
We left out in the fog. Head for River Road, but Burbank was backed up so we hit the mud and the grass and headed for the Interstate. Kit's first wreck was in the mud there. I didn't take a picture of it. I felt bad that we had only been riding about 10 minutes.
We ate gas station breakfast then went looking for some gravel, dirt, and mud. We turned on a pipeline off of Jones Vaughn Creek Rd.

I have pictures of most the times Kit wreck on the pipeline. I would say 2 through 5 were on the pipe line. The pipeline came to a barbed wire fence so we hit some hunters ATV trails, which were nice and muddy. I think wrecks 6 - 8 were on that streach. Then we took a break for some repairs.
Then we found some great gravel roads and were going along until.... locked gate. So we went around the gate and it was a gravel yard. When back the other way to try and figure out where the GPS wanted me to go and the bridge was out. http://images16.fotki.com/v277/photos/3/302107/3238561/p2172513_std-vi.jpg
So in trying to be like my hero Mark Sampson.

So after dragging it out and fixing the chain that came off due to the rocks we were on road again.
We came upon a neat cemetary

Then we enjoyed the gravel and head to Centreville for lunch. Found some great gravel and ATV trails out of town that lead to a forest clearing that was full of hunter's trail. Wreck 9 through 11 happened here. Oh yea, I stop taking pictures at 8 and stopped counting at 11 because I was starting to feel bad.

The we found some gravel that ended in locked gates and destroyed bridges.

We did not make it as far north as we plan due to time spent fixing and dragging out, but we had a great time.

Kit had a great time and said he is ready to sell his used KLR for a new one. I felt good about that because I had started feeling that I dragged him through some pretty nasty stuff.
I can send the gps file of the trip if anyone wants it or knows a place I can post it. Just email me.
