I got a little loop I have been working out in St Franny that runs north into Southern Mississippi and comes to a end around the famous Redneck Ridge (Gloster MS). You can expect some nice twisty fresh blacktop through the Tunica hills and a few substandard roads.....No river crossing or locked gates this time...........We will be meeting at the corner of Hwy 19 and Hwy 10 in Jackson Louisiana. We ride @ 9:00 am. We are going to be shooting some video for a DSRL promo, I would Love to see everyone out for this one. Post up if you can make it.

Any dirt? If so I'm out, I had enough of it with Ted around Red Bluff. Who would have thought 954's weren't meant to go offroad?
Juice

Yes, there will be a little dirt and gravel.....I would never say a sport bike could not adapt. Last time we rode these roads there was a guy on a Gixxer 750 and in the wet dirt and gravel I could not shake him. That my friend is the gods honest truth......

Juice- I you have the ride planned out on one of those old fashioned paper maps, you could talk me through it over the phone, and I could build a route on the PC, and E-mail it to everyone that might want it to load onto their GPS's.
I built a route on the computator for this past Saturday's ride with my destination being the intersection of Parker Ln, and Tunica Rd, and the GPS gave me turn by turn directions of the tightest twisties this side of the Pecos.

Yup......151,176 miles. This is the man who put over 90k miles on a bike (different bike) in 18 months!!!

We hit some pretty nice roads and stopped often. Juice would run from front to back trying to get some decent video of the group.

Here's the gimp himself, wriggling in pain, and crying for help. Can you tell?? Hmmmp....I don't think he would have taken the ambulance option if we hadn't made the call for him. Once the paramedics showed up though, I don't think he minded. :D

The DSRL pit crew jumped on the bike to get the exhaust put back on and a few brackets hammered back into place.

Evaluating the skid marks......nooo....the other skid marks.

The first responder gets to the scene and says that unless there's an open wound or a bone sticking out, there's really not much he can do. His t-shirt kinda gave us that impression too.

...and then they arrived. Kevin fell to the ground, I pointed out a paper cut, and everyone who was laying down in the grass stayed there hoping to be mistaken for the "poor guy" who needed attention.

It all looks bad, but the whole "back board/neck brace/ambulance ride" thing was just in case something was wrong that we couldn't tell. Other than being dizzy and sore, Juice seemed to have faired really well.

We secured his bike (somewhat) and a few of us toted his stuff for the rest of the ride. Team Redneck took over the lead and brought us on some great roads. We rode out to the Pond store.

I'm not exactly sure where we were lead to next, but ended up along the river and up on what looks like an old loading platform. I dropped the GS while riding up and getting caught in one of the ruts.

After eating at Ralley's, the B.R. and Houma guys peeled off and headed home. I have to give serious props to Kenny and Tiff for riding that Blackbird through gravel, sand, and rocks that some of us with knobbies had a hard time in!! And they were two up!!!! After the whole day, they get 10 minutes from the house and find a screw in the rear tire....classic.

Sorry to hear your passenger bailed out on you Ted! I know you were looking forward to it. But then again, if you had those things pressed against your back your mind would have been somewhere else and it might have been you in the ambulance!

Thanks for the props Ted! We made it home and I plugged the tire. It was a 4" wood screw!! It was quite a memorable day but it could have been a lot worse. I want to thank everyone for all the help and commeraderie we experienced. Even with all of the 'adversity' everyone kept up a great attitude (mostly at Juice's expense....) and it turned into a great ride. I can't wait 'til the next one!!
