Hey guys I know alot of you frequent the area. We are heading out this Sunday, 22. This will be my second trip and I will be the navigator Eekster

We will only be riding 2 days, One will be pretty centralized around Deal's gap, and the next, I'd like to venture out, probably to North Ga because I have heard so much good about it.

If you guys have any good route advice, let me know.

Thanks guys,
Matt

Matt, you have to hit hwy 60 and all of 180, also go up the road to Bald brass mountain ;)

Maybe Weave will chime in as he knows the area well
(after all, he IS the Roadmaster) :D

The best run to suches from the gap. take the cherohola skyway to Telico Plains. When the road ends Take a left which is TN 68. Follow 68 all the way to GA and it turns into 60. 60 all the way to suches. Its 75 miles from Telico to suches. There is a fork in the road onHwy 68 keep left. You will see an Alt hwy 60 sign in one the small towns do not take!!! keep south on 60.

When you get to Suches you can spend the night at High valley resort they have bunk houses for 40 bucks sleeps two. might call ahead or you can get a room in Dalonega.
All of 60 is good, all of 180 is good if you spend the night at suches I would
go south on 60 to the rockpile(129) north on 129 over Neals gap(rock store)
back to 180 at Vogel Park.At this intersection you cna go back to Suches
180 is Wolf Pen Gap Rd better than the dragon go ahead run it both ways 12 mile,

You can go north on 129till 180 comes in on the right Take rt on 180
and turn for the Richard Russell scenic hwy..... very good. At the end go left till stop sign turn rt, the scenic town of Helen is just ahead if you want lunch.
However the 356 heads north just below Helen, Go to the stop sign take left
Take rt at store, Burton Damn Rd, Take a left on Bridge creek Rd. Follow all the way to Clayton. Take a left on Hwy 23 to the BP station which is Warwoman Rd follow to Hwy 28 go north or south its up to you.North goes to Highlands, south goes to S.C. where you can pick up 107 north.

Its 75 miles from suches down 180 to Warwoman Rd at HWY 28. Bout a 5 hour round trip. Have fun,
