View Full Version : Ferrari Day at No Problem

Friday November 3rd is the French Quater Classic again... They didn't have it last year. If you haven't been it is a Ferrari get together at No Problem. It is kind of like a good car show with a bunch of old white guys playing race car for a day.
Bring your honey's too. Last time the honeys could sweet talk for rides in an American LeMans Lambo, an Enzo, and a 1960's LeMans Ferrari. Calpoint usually brings a couple 333's too.
I saw a guy put a F50, right off the factory Ferrari 18-wheeler, in the wall at Texas World a few years back at a simlar event. Maybe we'll get to see some smashed Ferrari's this year.
Some pictures from the last event can be seen here:

cool! thanks for the heads up. i remember a couple of years ago when about 8 of the cars were cruising around town and then all stopped for dinner on St. Charles Ave. You could see everyone's expression once they saw the parade of cars, it was like they asked themselves "Where did all these Ferrari's come from?"

They eat breakfast in New Orleans and then roll down the interstate at 100+ with police escorts. If you want you watch them parade in I would say you have to be on the road to No Prob around 7:45 to 8:30ish... If you get there after 9:00 everyone should be there.
Some guys will lap a couple times and go home other guys will lap till they kick'em out at dark. Last time they had a Porche Carrera GT and an Enzo on the track at the same time. The dream Road & Track line up, and the Porche driver was driving like a grandpa. The Enzo was hanging it sideways in the turns.
If any of y'all are interested in helping out with future Ferrari Club events find Franco and talk to him. Some of the guys bring 5 or 6 Ferraris and they always need responsible drivers to move them from place to place. A friend helped out 2 years ago and he really like it.

I'm looking forward to this, as I've always had a passion for the exotics. Ken, you wouldn't happen to remember how much they charge for an entry fee? It's looking like I may have some tag-alongs for the day.

I'm not going to show up late to something like this, so I'll probably be leaving Houma around 6:30 so that I'll be there for 8. I'd like to see the parade coming in and I'll be taking plenty of pictures as well.

It was like 5 bucks a car, or 3 dollars a person, it's hard to remember because I go to so much junk there.
Whatever it was it was worth it...

That Enzo has some of the most beautiful lines I've ever seen on a car.

Driving them like they were meant to be. It was just awesome to hear these things fire up, much less being pushed to their limits!

Whoever picked out this color scheme needs to be slapped, but the guy wasn't holding ANYTHING back on the track. He had that thing skinned back and pushing it's limits.

And just before I left, I had to get at least one picture with the Aprilia next to something that's truly worthy of sitting next to it in the garage.

*DROOL* That one with the dare sticker was parked behind Ninfas in BR when we went there a month ago... I took some pictures of it then...

$1800 for a Lambo in Miami for the day...
This was the smallest showing of cars in the 4 times I have been to this now. And they had more "nieces, and daughters" than in the past. Something about taking it from a man older than your father must make you a bitter spoiled bitch... I don't know. qwer
