ok, I know this isn't bike related, but i'm hoping some of your bike trip experience can help me out. (Mods if you want to move this to the Jungle, please do so.)
I'll be making a trip to the Gatlinburg area next week. I need info on good places to eat (especially good BBQ), and cool things to do. My previous trips to that area have been with my bike, so our focus was riding. Since I may not be able to take the bike this time, I need other suggestions for killing time.
Thanks in advance!

Jiame,
I am upset with you, where is your sense of adventure? Just go, get up there and explore.... This time of year the scenery will be great, and I am sure you can sniff out a good BBQ place. I really don't have anything to tell you about the area, but I hear it's cool. Enjoy and good luck!
Oh, and don't cry when you don't have your bike........ Have fun with the family there fella!

We went to DollyWood and it was fantastic!!!
We also enjoyed the "Aqaurium of the Smokies" and the "Dixie Stampede".
Look up the "Cherokee Orchard Trail"; there's short walks to cabins and stuff like "Cades Cove" has only up on the side of the mountain.
Man I love the Smokies!
Enjoy!!!

Check out the Nascar Speedway for a fun afternoon of go-carts. There is a great BBQ resturant that Ted and I ate at on our first Gap trip. I don't recall the name but it is on the right side of the road going towards Gatlingburg from Pigoen Forge. It is an old wooden (no paint) building and has motorcycle parking in the front of the building. Also, there is an awesome steak resturant on the same side of the street just a little further towards PF. It is set of the road but their driveway comes all the way to the main street. You can't miss that one. Just make sure you don't ask for your steak well done (no self respecting man would anyway) someone in our party got bitched at by the cook for trying to order their well.
Have Fun.
