got a link via an email promotion but their tires look pretty damn cheap.... but I think Mark at Friendly can still beat most if not all of those low prices...

Even with RonAyer's promotion he's still $10-20 per tire higher than AMT's regular prices where I get all of my tires. I just ordered a set of mirrors/turn signals for the Aprilia and was looking at the Diablo Strada's last night.

Ted-

Talk to me.

AMT? I just got some tires as well as quite a few other must have's to get the 640 roadworthy from Mark at Friendly (I didn't shop them and trust I got a kinfolk deal), but they also jacked me for $30 per tire to mount and balance.

There's gotta be a better way.

AMT, you have a link?

American Moto Tire (http://www.americanmototire.com/)

$30 per tire isn't TOO bad as I've heard of shops charging twice that. Especially if you brought in the bike with the wheels on it. My better way was about $200 worth of an investment into my own changing equipment and ordering my tires off the net. I'll bring my bike in for engine services and warranty work, but there's too much of a mark up on tires and changing services in the shops for me not to change my own most of the time.

That being said, if I'm pressed for time, or not in the mood for wrenching, Cycle World here in Houma only charges $10 per wheel to change tires if you bring in the wheels off the bike and bring in your own tires.

Ted-

Thanks for the link. Never heard of these guys but I'll check them out.

I saw the wrench days photos and that changing stand of yours. Bet it's a far cry better than trying to wrestle with a tire and rim scooting around in the den floor or out in the yard.

I'm never too shy to buy a new tool, and a stand might just be in order.

Even if you dont have tire changing equipment you can still put your bike up on stands and bring in the loose rims and let them do the hard work and they usually only charge ya 1/2
