I got that dreaded call this morning from my insurance adjuster. The strom is a total loss. Looking on the bright side of things they did pay it off and for about $2,200 I can buy her back. I'm thinking Mudd tires, engine guards and some desert camo paint. What ya think?

Damn man.......I guess Richard found a few more things underlying the plastic that were bent. Well dude, whether you go "Mad Max" with it, or decide on getting a new machine, I hope you're back to riding before too long.

I vote for a "landshark" theme. Saw it on some Strom site, looks friggin' awesome! Then again, desert camo would look good on a landshark!

If you're sticking with a V-Strom, might I suggest one of these V-Strom handling upgrades?

Just a reminder, I'll have the 954 ready for you once you heal. We might need to put a governor on it for you though.

Brian, think I can switch out seats with yours? Or is it already gone?

I'm going to buy it back. What do you need with my seat?

That bike in no way looked totaled. Didn't you just buy it new?

Something good comes from the worst of situations. The bike is what it is just a bike. I'm just glad you are still with us Juice Box. Take care of that lung situation and do exactly as the doctors tell you. You hear me?

Of course sub frame damages are always hard to detect, even though Team Redneck rode it here and all seemed fine. Have seen some off road bikes painted with bed liner, even a GS this past weekend at the SSR. If you were going to put it through some physical cosmetic abuse, such as off roading, that might be an inexpensive option. Pipes? I have seen a couple bikes with the same damage converted with THRUST (spelling?) exhausts, again inexpensive, they actually sounded pretty good!

Now... the morning after this picture was taken... she does not look too bad?

Be well... Ara
