Today, I paid off my loan and bought my bike back form the insurance company. The insurance company is claiming a total loss. Most likely the most unsurpassed $1,800.00 I have ever spent. When all the dust settles and the air clears, I will finish up with my bike thoroughly repaired and a zilch balance spreadsheet with the bank. You will not hear me grumble. I Just can not for the likes of me see why this is measured as a total loss. I'm sure there well be some unknown Casualties. The biggest dilemma is the tweaked sub frame. For less the $1000 we will be back in business.

The physical impairments are obvious. The exhaust is leaking due to a tweaked mid pipe. $249.99 from the factory.

The windscreen is busted and the adjustable mount is only
partially present. Front cap is pushed back but salvageable. $150.00 + The mount.

Juice.

I replaced my stock windshield bracket with a Madstad adjustable type. Let me know if you want my old "take-off." BTW, the Madstad (a quality piece) is only about $60-70.

Its totaled because the subframe is bent...

Any bent frame member constitutes a total loss (from what they told me when i had the cobra incident).

Yes, that would be great. Are you getting out to the Meet and Greet this Thursday? IF not let me know when I can come get it.

That is what I have been told. It is not a dollar thing, but a liability thing for the insurance company. At least that is what the Progressive guy told me once.

So....dude. Since you're not going to trade off the 'Strom for something different, then shouldn't this thread be titled as "The Resurrection" instead of "The Reincarnation"? It sure sounds like "a better deal through pain and suffering" to me.

Buell headlights, generic fender, some windshield off a crotchrocket..... interesting, however I wouldn't roll it. I like the wind deflection the strom has.

That's sweet Cool12 The front fender is the Polisport Motard fender, it's the same one I've got on my Bike. I think the windshield/fairing is the Ulysess just painted black on the underside.

With the 21" wheel and loss of what looks like a whole lot of weight up front that bike probably rides "off-road" a lot better than a stock strom. Might wanna a bit larger screen for X-country rides though.
