Anyone know where I can find some of these locally???? I'm taking my Truck up to NewEngland in a couple weeks and am picking up a KX250 at my Buddys in Huntsville Ala. I just wanna put the bike in the Bed of the truck and not use my trailer.
I looked at Home Depot, Lowes and Harbor Freight. Nobody had anything qwer
HF had some ramps but they weren't long enough. I've got a 4x4 Tacoma, their ramps are meant for use with the utility trailers.
Anyone got any ideas? or now of anywhere that might have something? I know a bike shop probably has them, but the Stealerships always want like $200 for their fancy aluminum ramps. I'm thinking <$100 would be nice.

I bought mine (it's used to load/unload the GS in my 4x4 Tacoma) from Cycle World here in Houma. $130 for the 5 1/2' bifold ramps. You might be able to find them cheaper online or from someone who can give you some bucks off. But that ought to give you an idea of what a dealer will want.

if you are worried about cost... lowes and home depot BOTH sell ramp kits... which are basically jsut a metal lip which attaches to the end of a long board... they make them in 8, 10 and 12" widths I belive.... and they cost like $10 or so for the kit... then you just buy the appropriate width and length board to bolt on and you hopefully wont spend more than $20 or so on a ramp... (the wider the better in my opinion)
Duke,
I have a 6ft alum bi fold you can borrow for your trip if nothing pans out

Thanks for the Generous offers fellas!!!
I actually found a 6' ramp for $50 shipped from the ThumperTalk store. It's a Dirtbike ramp that only supports 300#s but it's all I need. If it doesn't arrive before the 16th I might have to take one of ya up on the offer.
Mini - I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, I went to BOTH HD and Lowes and NOBODY there knew WTF I was talking about. I used to Mow lawns for one of my Old Employers (he owned a few rentals and I'd get the day off from restaurant work to go mow 3 lawns) and we had those kits to load and unload a LawnTractor into the back of a Nissan 4x4. I even told the lady at HD that we bought the kit from HD (although that was 10yrs ago).

Also if one ramp is too short you can double it up with a second ramp. Just lock the teeth together and now you have a 10' ramp.

When I loaded up my bike this last time I just backed the truck into a ditch and dropped the tailgate. I wouldn't recomend this to anyone who doesn't have 4wd. But I was able to use a short 4 wheeler ramp by doing the same thing. Just find something to back up to (small hill) or into (ditch).

I have tried this before and yes it works. The one problem is once you get to where you are going, what if there are no ditches or hills THERE!!!!!!!!qwer qwer qwer

Get a trifold ramp rated for at least 500lbs. Buy two cause it's easier to load that way. Easy to stow and you might get a bigger bike later on.
You can borrow mine. Works fine with my f250

Thanks Chuck!!! I got the little ramp in the mail the other day it's rated for #300 I walked up it and didn't deflect much probably could support more. It'll work for what I need it to. I just got this Tacoma and I still have my Harbor Freight trailer that I bought to tow behind my old benz so that'll work for any bigger bikes. Those Tri-Fold ramps are nice, just pricey.
