I was thinking of taking off on a multiple day ride, but due to the lack of motivation I could muster, I'll be more than happy to see ya'll at Hooters. After all, I'd rather hang out with you guys than to be in the company of the finest people around!

Alright people.... Roll Call.... Whos gonna be there?
It's gonna be nippy tonight, so what better way to spend the evening than at Hooters. Throw you warm gear on, or hop in the Cage. GoodTimes await... and beer, and boobies, wings, fried pickles (Steph).... etc. etc. Hope to see you all out there..

...snockered up from lots of Gin.

Ya'll still thinking about that grand walkabout ride on Sunday? Depending if the Gerbing electric jacket arrives, I might be game for joining the tomfoolery.

I've been working up a multi-day circumnavigation route around the state hugging the border as closely as possible. Am up to 1,2xx miles so far. Thinking about stringing it out over 3 to 4 days over a long weekend before 2007 rears her head.

Anyone with City Navigator on their computater care to take a gander?

Dirty

Yea, the ride is definately on for Sunday! Being that we're going to be riding mostly during the day, with a warm layer under a riding jacket you should be fine for the for the few hours of early morning or late evening chill that we might be riding through. The forcast doesn't show it getting TOO cold.

Kev, I'm going to leave here around 4 and ride some backroads. I'll probably get to the restaurant between 6-6:30, ask for the table, and just wait on it till ya'll get there.

It was a great ride home though. Upper thirties and I still couldn't turn my heated liner all the way up. With the heated collar, cracking my visor was like rolling down the window in the truck after the heater's been on. This thing works AWESOME!!!

A heated liner? That sounds like something I've been looking for. What exactly do you have, and where can I buy one?

If you want just the vest, Hebert's here in BR has then for like 150.00

Or try Gerbings...

WarmNSafe (www.warmnsafe.com) is the heated liner that I have. Alot of the guys on ADVrider report it as being put together a little better than the Gerbings, and say that it gets a little warmer. The liner + the heat troller which allows you to regulate how hot it gets ran me about $250 for everything. I wear it underneath my Kilimanjaro II jacket.

On the same note, I just received a catalog today of heated adventure wear. It is Rider Wearhouse Catalog. I am not sure how well the stuff is being new to this type of equipment but the brand is AeroStich and you can find it at www.aerostich.com They have several different types of vest w/ or w/o sleeves and you can get regulators for the temp. Each model comes a different levels of fleece lining (warm, warmer, warmest) inside of the heating elements. They even have one model that has an adjustable/inflatable liner that you blow into it to your comfort and the elements heat the air inside to increase the temps evenmore.

Aerostich is pretty much top of the line when it comes to adventure gear. If I ever decide to move up north I'll have a full one piece heated Aerostich suit.
