I took a ride on the 1200GS this afternoon to try out my new Widder arm chaps. I had my Aerostitch jacket, Joe Rockets pants (without the liner) and a full compliment of Widder gear. This includes a heated vest, arm chaps, and leg chaps (no gloves because I have heated grips).
With the temp at 35 degrees and falling (the sun was going down), I could not keep the gear turned on because I got too hot (and I was doing 70 mph). I have used this Widder stuff in Nova Scotia in the freezing rain and stayed warm. I have really been impressed with this gear.
The only problem is the Widder vest comes in fitted sizes, so if I gain anymore weight, I will have to order new gear.
