I took a ride on the 1200GS this afternoon to try out my new Widder arm chaps. I had my Aerostitch jacket, Joe Rockets pants (without the liner) and a full compliment of Widder gear. This includes a heated vest, arm chaps, and leg chaps (no gloves because I have heated grips).

With the temp at 35 degrees and falling (the sun was going down), I could not keep the gear turned on because I got too hot (and I was doing 70 mph). I have used this Widder stuff in Nova Scotia in the freezing rain and stayed warm. I have really been impressed with this gear.

The only problem is the Widder vest comes in fitted sizes, so if I gain anymore weight, I will have to order new gear.

Be careful. I've had alot of gear over the years that has shrunk on me while sitting in the closet during the summer months!

On my limited budget, I am using a borrowed leather jacket, a pair of Academy Sports ski pants anf a pair of "Best Riding Gear" gloves that were given to me. An last week during a 36* morning I was pretty comfortable.
