Once again I'll have the pit lit, cold drinks, and tools available for whatever you may need. I've got tires and oil to change, and no telling what else I'll have ready for my new-to-me bike. Last time the weather wasn't exactly cooperative, but if the weather's nice then we can make a couple hours worth of riding down some freshly blacktopped twisties and a few more gravel roads that I've recently discovered.
10am......my house here in Houma.....wrench and ride.

Thanks for the tack JayD! Here's a few pictures from along the route that we can take. DannyT may recognize the road and I do believe there's a paved route along there, but the gravel is fresh, twisty, and away from civilization.
We can do a sound off next week so I know how many groceries to buy.

AMEN brother!!!
*Disclamer*---This of course DOES NOT go for any of the ladies who want to show up to wash bikes. In fact, in that event, the less the better!

qwer One day I promise to not be working during a DSRL event. Have fun and don't blow anything up. Unless you do it on purpose. But either way, take lots of pictures.

Ok, so who's coming? So far it's looking like 5 or so. The Nicholls State dance team has graciously agreed to put on the bike wash, as long as they have access to a hot tub after, to keep warm. I told them they'll have to settle for the shower. They didn't like that idea, so there will be no bike wash. You'll just have to ride them dirty.
No pun intended..... :D

I'll be there as a washing wench - I mean, I'll be there to help out with the wrenching and/or washing as need be... okay, really, just to supervise, stuff my face and take as many incriminating photos as possible. Someone PM me directions....and I'll bring something sweet as well. (Besides me.)

Well, there's one of two ways to get to Houma from Baton Rouge...
1.) Go East on I-10 and take exit 182 to Sorrento. Take Hwy 70 (across Sunshine Bridge) all the way to Hwy 308. Head south on 308 (left) till just before Thibodaux. You can either turn right on Hwy. 3185 and it will take you to Hwy 20 or keep going straight on 308 till it intersects with 20. Either way, turn right on Hwy 20 (south) and it will turn into Hwy 24 before it reaches Houma.
2.) Take I-10 all the way to 310 and ride towards Houma. Turn right on Hwy 90 towards Houma. Take the Hwy 24 exit and turn left. From there follow the directions I posted above.
Also, I do have the GPS file and/or coordinates if any can use those.

yyyyyyup.....I figured if the weather's nice I'd take them along the Kramer Rd. and through those roads along B.F.E. till we rode out around Laurel Plantation there on 308. There's alternative routes that the sportbike guys can take as well that will be completely paved.

I should be there for the wrenching and hang out for a while, but I will need to get some sleep before I pull an all nighter at the hospital. So yall be careful on the ride afterwards.
