I found this bike on eBay in Alabama and it was pretty much like new even though it was a 2001; guess someone didn't like riding it much qwer It looks like it was setup to race and maybe only raced once or twice. The rear sprocket even looked new virtually no wear at all no scratches on the casings or frame protectors either. I put more wear on the bike in a week of riding than it had seen in the last 5yrs.

The tires were done (was only ridden up and down the driveway by the guy's kid I bought it from) and it needed a clutch lever and some new grips. It's got Excel rims (stock hubs) and Pro-Taper SE bars.

I was hoping to hit up the spillway last weekend but it was too rainy this weekend nextweekend don't look so good either Bable12

A very fast bike. I rode a new '05 not long ago and was suprised at the hit. The power comes on like a switch. It's a blast on the open trails. If you like 2-strokes (obviously you do), don't sell it because the KX is an endangered species. Honda is making their last 2-stroke in '07. I'll keep on riding 2-strokes as long as someone makes them.

Cool find.

I've never ridden a 2-smoker before, just 4-strokes. I might have to cross over and get me a new ride for the trails.

Oh yeah I love 2strokes! The first bike I ever rode was an RM80 like 15yrs ago , rode a Old twin shock RM100 and a Yamaha DT90 a bunch too when I was a kid, they were old beaters that every kid in the neighborhood shared, wish my Parents or I had enough $$$$ back then so I could've had my own.

This bike needs a little bit of set-up done to it to make it more woods friendly. I'll probably add a flywheel weight for less stalling and a Sparky to ride legally in National/State Forests.
