My mom...

I don't usually post family related issues but I'm going to post this because it's worrying me (and I'm sure her too). My mom was just diagnosed with having a lung condition which is going to require surgery, removal of part of one of her lungs. (To do this means breaking and removing a rib as well). The surgeons are worried if she doesn't get this surgery, she could possibly be faced with a life threatening emergency type situation in the near future. This type of surgery involves moderate risk. Also because of the added stress from the surgery and recovery period, she is probably going to have to retire early (she is a psychiatrist w/over 500 active patients in her care).

So if everyone can please keep her in their prayers. Our family and 500+ patients count on her to make it through life...

Surgery date isn't scheduled yet but should be in 1-2 weeks we think.

Thanks for everyone's support... it appears she will go into surgery a week from today (Next Thursday, the 18th of Jan.) I'll keep y'all posted on how it goes...
