I commuted to LSU for 3 years and for the first couple years of employment on the XL.

First road bike, a 1980 Honda CX500C, bought used in July 1981 with about 3500 miles on it. Road it to Rocky Mountain National Park a few weeks later.

Let's see.....in 1980, I had gotten my first bike as well! And wouldn't you know it, this was right before my hair started going gray too.

Needed it! No saddlebags, tank bag, just a big ass duffle, tent and sleeping bag all strapped to the sissy bar.
