View Full Version : Youth helmet & Jacket

My 6 yr old daughter rides with my Dad on his cruiser often. She usually wears her dirt bike DOT approved helmet, jeans, Go-Go boots, a light sweater or jacket. I’m looking to get her all her gear if she is going to ride. I was able to find an HJC helmet in youth, but nothing like a mesh jacket. I did find a touring jacket on eBay that may be a little big, but don’t know anything about it. It’s ORINA SZ 140 YOUTH MOTOCYCLE TOURING JACKET-NR.

Can anyone give me any insight on these items or help me gear her up a little better? Should I even let her ride?

Brandon has been sitting on the tanks of my sport bikes since he was three. When he turned five I got him a Joe Rocket mesh womens size small. A dot approved helmet of his own and some leather gloves.....

I think it is a judgment call that you will have to make for yourself Tiff. Our little ones are precious cargo. If we put them in a situation that got them hurt we would never be able to forgive ourselves.

I know that feeling already with Jay and his femur. I think this is what has me thinking about Jessica more and more. A womens XS jacket would be to big on her and not fit properly. I can't beleive we are the only ones letting our kids ride on the street. Someone has to have gear for our young ones.
