Oil Change

I'm about to change the oil in my XR650L. Any paticular kind to get? This is the first oil change since I bought it.

cheap stuff... It really doesn't matter because if you are going to ride it in the dirt you will need to change it more often. The cheapest of cheap oils will never get close to breaking down before you have to change it again.. Just don't put synthetic in it whatever you do.

Remember to clean your air filter often too.

Anything made for diesel engines will work great. Wlmart rotella is cheap by the gallon.
