Well, not that work sucks,,,,,,but this hitch I already had to pull an extra 3 days due to changing rig locations (Angola back to Nigeria) and crew change day (Monday to Thursday). So I've been on the rig now for 31 days with the mind set of heading home,,,,,,,and you guys who work offshore know what's coming next. WHAM!!!! My releif can't make it to the rig!Head Bang It just wasn't him alone, 3 others didn't make it, but not by thier faults. It was because they weren't able to make the charter flight from Luanda to Port Hartcourt.

Things like this just burn my ass,,,,we already have to be in Luanda a day early and overnight there so we are here to make to the rig on time,,,,,,but they still can't get us here! WTF!!!! And another real ball kicker is that my back to back is a local here,,,,,,he fuck'n lives in Nigeria! And they can't get him here on time.

Anyhow,,,everyone got to go in,who's releif didn't make to the rig, with the exception of an Oceaneering ROV hand and myself. I would have got to leave, but we are having issues with the hole, and me being over the Subsea side on the rig,,, I was stuck.

Needless to say, I never unpacked nothing and I never put work clothes back on. I went to the room, watched Hannibal Rising and The Number 23 (I think that's what it was called) Downloaded some more Porn to my hard-drive, as you do when you work offshore. Then went to bed. Didn't wake up on time this morning,,,,like I was really trying to get up. Slept in about 3 extra hours, got up, put my going home clothes on, and now trying to find out what time this chopper is coming. The OIM didn't care what I was doing,,,,he wanted to let me head home, but the rig manager didn't want to take any chances with the hole being an issue. I don't blame him on that. I get paid to do what I do, and sometimes this is part of it. That doesn't mean I don't have to like it now.

Ok, I've written enough now,,,,I need big vodka and coke!!!!

Man, I feel your pain!! Granted, they'd probably have to send me in after 31 days due to an unsafe mindset, but it really sucks when you're held over because of the late arrival of relief. Last hitch I was out here for an extra two days because of the same thing. I'm sure to you the difference between 14 and 16 days is nothing, but when you're ready to go home........you want to go HOME!!

You'll be on two wheels before you know it man. Just be thankful that you don't work on this rig. I can't count how many SS problems we have each time we repull the stack!!

Let me think about this,,,,ummmm, NO!

Well, one plus from me still being here is that I was able to watch some South African Supermoto races a little while ago.

Just makes me want to ride more.

Just think of all the money I would save on shoe! All I would need are some flip flops!!!!

Seriously, I almost wasn`t able to make my flight from PH to Lagos. People in town dropped the ball, AGAIN!!!!

Yeah, glad to have a good job to support the family, but damn,,,,some of the BS I have to go through.

As of now, not quite home yet, waiting in Paris for my next flight. And this keyboard is killing me!!!! Keys are in the wrong position that we have, hard as hell to type like this!!!!
