When I die I want to be reincarnated as your kid. Your son will look back on these days 20 plus year from now. He will then realize that he had the coolest dad on the block. You rock Dad.

Phase One: Operation Motard Transformation

Today the frame was wet sanded, primed and it got a fresh coat of flat black. The rear shock was replaced with one from a 06 model. Tomorrow we will reassemble the triple tree and install the forks. After that we will be dead in the water until we can locate a pair 12" wheels.

Day: 27 (Today the Postman brought smiles)

Today the bearings were packed and the triple reassembled. The new Club bars were bolted onto the triple and front forks put into place. And after about a hour of fighting the 12” cyclone wheels with a small pair of spoons, the tires were finally mounted. I did notice that there was a small amount of fork oil present near the front axle. Fork seal? What else could it be?

Looking good Juicey. Those bars look a little long?

Juice
06-02-2007, 12:32 PM
I'm going to shave about 3" off each side. He will loose leverage but will gain proper position and weight continuously on the front wheel. There is much controversy over those little bars. The flat trackers say that they don't work. We are going to give them a try and make our own discoverys of what works and what doesn't.

The new season dosen't start till Feb 08. We got plenty of time. That will also give Bran time to grow another 3-4 inch. Even with the 12" wheels the bike is still a hair tall for him. We are going to give them hell in 08!!!!!!!!!!!
