The owner's name is Doug and he used to help his grandpa work on this car when he was only 10 years old. Then it was his college car. Now it's a really cool old street rod.

After breakfast, we headed over to Hebert's and it looked like about 20+ Model A's and Model T's gathered in front of the Ford dealership. The weather couldn't have been better for a ride or a drive or anything outside.

I only had time for one demo ride, so I chose the K1200R. I've been wantin' to ride this German rice cooker...

Keith, that bike there is somewhere between 1987 and 1991 if I am correct. The faring on that bike is made out of fiberglass.

My 1000 was a 1985 and had the round headlights, they switched to the square headlights in 1986.

How much was he asking?

This is the best I can figure.... First and foremost, I did go down on the bike apprx. 10 mph. Damage was one scratched fairing, broken blinker, and gear shifter. I replaced the blinker, and gear shifter. Been holding out on the fairing (doesnt' bother me). It was only cosmetic damage, I did a trip to TN and NC last month on it and it worked mechanicly great.

Apprx 5500 miles
Tall Givi Windshield
Gen Mar Bar Risers (1 inch up, and about 1 1/2 inch back)
Givi E46 Topcase
Givi E36 Saddle bags
I have two wired 12 volt plugs (GPS, Radar, Charge Cell phone etc.)

Asking $6000
Or I can work with the price if you want it with the scratched fairing, I think it was apprx. $280 for it. New Bike lists for $6700, realisticly you could get out the door for 7gs. I have around $800 in farkles (mostley bags, and racks). Blue Book on the bike is $6000. If you want to go lower I can strip the bags and sell them seperatly. I can work this all kinds of ways. I am not trying to scare you, just trying to be as honest as I can... I hate .BS. .

Everyone chime in and tell me if this is kosher?

That one or a 1200 Adv.... if they would have dealed alittle bit Sat. I would have rode away on that new adventure.... but I waiting for ole boy to get back from Alaska and I am getting that 01 1150 GS we saw that day Nick. It seems to be the best deal, and makes the most sense. I wish he would hurry up and get home!
