I finaly picked up the new Tiger today. I want to encourage anyone purchasing a new Triumph to go to Deep South Cycles in Hattiesburg. I worked with Neil and he was awsome. It has been a long time since I bought from a dealer and rode away smiling! They sold me the Tiger with side bags, tank bag, tail bag, heated grips, centerstand, accessory socket, touring windscreen, performance pipe, first service, and filter/oil for the next oil change. The total otd pre-tax price was $11750.00 More pictures/adventures soon to come.

Nice new ride.Cool12 I bet she has a mean purr. If someone says they can't see that bike, they are too blind to be on the road.

Thanks everyone!
I now have approx 500 mile on the odometer so I have not opened her up yet. She does pull very hard from as low as 2000 rpm with no drive lash. The triple has torque like a v-twin, but wants to rev out like a in-line 4. Also it is very smooth. Handling is pretty neutral with good feed back from the front. After I break her in, I'll than start pushing her harder and dial in the suspension.
Thursday night ride anyone?

Nice looking bike. If I knew how to post pictures here I would send a pic of my Rare White Tiger. I may as well wait a week our so since I am modifying it , frame sliders, GRG engine protectors, feneda extenda front and rear, Rizoma front brake master cylinder to replace the urine specimen bottle, shorter screen, SW Motech Aluma Rack, SW Motech centerstand, lowering dog bones, Twin Fiamm horns, Fork mounted running lights. Do I really need all this stuff? No.
I had made a good deal on the TOR pipe. It sounded reaaly good but looks exactly stock. I went ahead and sold it thinking after market would have some thing by now but I have not been able to find anything. Zard was a promising peice but Tiger owners in Euro say the quality is subject.
You have already passed me in miles. I have not quite 500. I had to take the ZRX to Colorado since I had not received the luggage rack.
Hope to ride with you soon. PM me for my phone number.

This picture of him completely in the left lane made Killboy's front page with the heading "It's British?" He took a lot of grief for it, but said he could see completely through the corner, plus he had made about 30 runs that day and was maybe getting a little lazy.

He did succeed in completely wearing off the peg feelers and wore the front tire down to the wear bars.
He prefers this one of him dragging the mid-pipe.

As soon as I sell my SV, I'm going to get a new bike. Right now, the Tiger and the 950SM are my two favorites. I'm leaning towards the Tiger. Need to get a ride on both before I make up my mind.
I really like the black:

I'll have to check that out. The 950 is one of my options. I wouldn't want to be seen on the 690. It's hideous.
Interesting video on the Tiger (offroad): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3j4-FGA5Ms&mode=related&search=

That's good to know. Thanks
I'm curious what the new 690 Adventure replacement is going to look like. The Rally or Baja or whatever it's going to be. The balancer in the 690 is a welcome thing I hear, compared to the 640.

KTMTalk.com forum mentions that we may see a fuel-injected 690 Super Enduro for 2008. This might be it (wish I had a better pic):
