Anyone interested in getting together for a Tech Day? Anyone have any maintenance that they need done on their machines? I have got a few small jobs that needs to be done and four hands are always better then two. I was thinking Saturday June 30th. I will have my lift and tools available to all. I will provide the BBQ & Beer.

Count me in if it's not raining. I would have rode to the Greet & Eat last night had there not been a chance of rain. Riding in the rain still spooks me. I don't have anything i need to do to the bike, but sometime in the future i may be looking at some mods for it.

Kenny, how hard would it be to bring your tire machine over for this? From what I can tell it might be worth your while? I count 3 sets of tires to change... and you can demonstrate your tire skillz!

Sounds like just the kind of thing I could use but fortunetly for ya'll, I will still be in Tennessee. I leave for the dragon on the 23rd and have (4) nights at the TwoWheelInn to look forward to. This will be my first time on the dragon on a bike so I am taking the Bandit, not the Harley. Ya'll have fun, I sure as hell plan to. No, even at my advanced age I am not trailering up there. It's not that far.

I absolutely love the Tourances because of the extended milage and life that I get out of them. Also, I find they stick just fine on pavement, do great in the rain and are decent offroad (just not on gravel on pavement). I hear that the Anakees are a bit stickier but don't provide the high milage that most can get out of the Tourances.
GS wheel sizes are...
Front - 110/80VR-19
Rear - 150/70VR-17
Hope that helps...

Neat. My wife will be in Texas that weekend and I was looking for something to do. I just picked up my own tire changer setup so that won't be necessary, but I will say that the American Motorcycle Tire online store is excellent. Fast shipment and great prices.
I should at least be able to stop by to see what all's happening.Cool12

Quite easy.
remove the tube from the tripleclamp
drain oil
Some have a retainer clip. Look down into the seal area to see. remove clip w/needle nose plyers. Some have a dust wiper(basically a second seal) Remove this one very carefully as you'll need to reuse it. The lower seal can be hooked out with ( I use a scribe. A metal rod sharp at both ends w/one end bent at a 90 deg angle. Used for marking metal .)
If they are air shocks after you remove the retainer clip just inflate until the seals pop out.
Place a little fork oil on the new seal and slide it into place. you may need to tap it down gently. Nothing sharp. Clean and replace dust wiper in the same way. replace clip.
The springs can be removed by taking the top cap off.( you'll need to remove this to replace oil). Some may have a slight tension from the spring so watch out. There will probable be a spacer of some sort on top of the spring. The spring should just lift right out.
If they are inverted forks stand on your head and use the same procedure.asdf
Lemme know if you get into it and need more detail.

My lovely wife is trying to off me with a chest cold. I battled it valiantly last evening with about half a fifth of Johnny Walker Green (Father's Day gift from Air Force daughter & Son-in-Law). I feel much better this morning, but after going to sleep at 1930 last night, I am now up.

Looks like you ladies had a hoot of a time.
Too bad I'm still up to my eyeballs packing and getting ready to move to a place with indoor plumbing and real concrete floors.
But at least Ms. Dirty will get all of those motorcycles out of her kitchen.

Looks like a awesome time. Remind me to never drink the water down there. It must contain some kind of hair follicle disturbance that fucks with hair growth.

After spending over 2k in farkles the best one yet came with a $60.00 price tag. If I had it to do all over again bar risers would have been my first mod. If you have a Strom and have not replaced the stock bars are installed a riser you need to asap. It's as big of a difference as night and day.

Juice,
Where did you order the risers from? The cheapest found are a bit under 100 bucks.
