I may get into this sport. Knowing some of the RM peeps that are into it, seeing pics and hearing stories has got me interested. I'm thinking about maybe the Honda XR650....but who knows. I will be hunting something used in the 2000-2500 range.

Now, what type of gear do you guys wear for this type of riding?

Moto X type gear for dirt, or you can wear some mild street gear.

Most folks prefer a moto x helmet and boots. I like to wear a street lid(works better w/my radios) and a heavy boot. I tend to walk around a little at many of the destinations I/we explore. Moto boots are a little tuff to walk in.

But it boils down to what you feel comfy in I guess.

On the tarmac I wear my leathers knee pucks and all.......

Chad this things are a blast. We hang off in the twistys just like we do on our rockets. I set up, pull hard on the bars slide off the seat. I swear that my pucks close to the blacktop. I glance down and I still have about 4-0 left to go. It is a sickness I tell ya.

+1 I wear full leathers. So you think concrete hurts do you. Try bouncing off the gravel @ about 75 mph. Good luck trying to drag a knee on the KLR. That thing is tall.
