Dammit!

The OEM rear tire on my Uly lasted 700 miles and it picked up (2) screws in different spots. I had it replaced under warranty.

The replacement tire lasted 1000 miles and picked up a screw. I plugged it and wore it out after 5000 total miles.

The latest tire I installed 4 weeks ago now has a pair of plugs in the single hole created my a hunk of pointy steel after only about 700 miles.

The next tire I get, I think I'm just going to poke a hole in it and plug it before I install it. Maybe that will kill the magnetism of new tires on a Buell.

Precisely where are you riding? I want to put an "avoid" in my GPS mapper !

I am reasonably certain everyone else on the board would also appreciate this information.Thanks12

AARRRRGGHHHHHH!

Pulled the tire off again. The freakin' piece of wire was still in the SOB. Couldn't see it or feel it from the outside but you could just see the point sticking through inside the tire.

I think I've got it patched for the moment but I'm ordering a new one, the hole is a little bigger than I like.

Well. My patch job, three plug strings, half a gallon of rubber cement and an internal radial patch is holding air nicely. This arrived minutes ago:

Now I'm going to wait to see if having a spare available will keep me from picking up any more trash.
