That's the plan for tonight. Re-tension primary chain and dismount the tire to do an internal patch. I can't bear the thought of only getting 2000 miles out of a tire.

You talking about WBR? If so that might be possible.

While giving this some more thought, one key item to consider is traffic. I'm hoping the traffic on the bridge isn't too bad at 6PM but I've never been in a position to test how it is during that time (I know around 4:30 to 5 it's a bad in the you-know-where)

the bridge could suck. we're coming from the north so we usually take the old bridge and 190 to 415. that doesn't help coming from the south.

Thats why I set this at 7 not earlier... you only need to leave BR at 6 to make it at 7... traffic has usually died down by then...

If you would have set it earlier than 7 you wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell in getting anyone from Baton Rouge over there. You would be eating by yourself. The traffic part is going to be hit or miss. Hope it works out for everyone.

How many miles did YOU ride this weekend? I did right at 1,200 in 2 days...

My bike is in for a 12K service and it just made a yr old. I don't chicken out, I ride. Rain OR when it's "too hot".....
Once it leave there, it's coming to my shop for new suspension...

well you got me beat I only did about 60 this weekend but I've been riding much more lately since I got this textile jacket... leather was just getting too damn hot :)

we made it. mona didn't really like the 190 or basin bridges but she did great. i'm posting from my phone and will upload pics when we get home.

No problem. We had a nice time and the band was pretty good. Restaurant was fairly empty. (It's a pretty bug place so there wouldn't be too much trouble even if we showed up with 20+.)

We made it back by 9:45. Mona did well on her first super slab ride combined with her first night ride. Total was about 145 miles.rocket.ride

I really think this needs to be reposted!! And let's review here while we're at it......Brian canceled because of a dead battery and Nick canceled because he didn't have his bike. Evil and his wife showed up (driving about 75 miles one way) and when he said, "Mona and I are planning to leave home by about 17:30 unless we hear otherwise" that sounds like a commitment to me......

...now WHY did you decide to bail on your own ride again MinigOd? You DO have your bike right? And it IS in good riding condition? And don't you live the closest??? It wasn't raining?? I seriously doubt it was snowing....

The restaurant was my suggestion. The OEM spot was Hooters, but I can go to those anywhere. Mulate's is pretty cool, and it is definitely a CAJUN restaurant. (Even being from CT, I like spicy food.) I've got to get Mona a windshield and a tank bag for the Blast and she'll be good for about anything now.

Mona's starting to understand. We were eating and she stopped and looked at me and said, "I can't believe I just rode 150 miles for a salad."

Ted, this is what happens when you let someone with a SPORTBIKE organize an event.

The probability of it happening is like 70 / 30, with the 30% being that they MIGHT show up. That is IF the moon, sun and the rings of Uranus are in proper alignment!

I didn't know that a Mexican Restaurant on Coursey Blvd in Baton Rouge was BFE.
OR... The Mexican Restaurant on Airline Hwy IN Prairieville either. qwer
