This song pretty much sum up the way I feel about motorcycle riding. I know that riding a motorcycle is not much of a comparison to bull riding but the feelings are mutual. So to all of you wife’s that don’t get it stop trying cause you never will.

I am searching for a new bike and she is giving me shit. You were lucky last time why push your luck? Why do you have to ride? Can anyone answer that question for her? PS I'm pretty sure she will be reading this tread.

I know why I ride...I don't ride to create an image, it's not like going to the spa or beauty salon. I do enjoy the experience but its not someone else's twist on who I am or how I should look.
It's not like going to church, although I do feel enlightened and uplifted when I do.
It's not like poker night. I don't do it to feel camaraderie with the boys, although I do enjoy sharing a ride with friends and the connection to those who do.
It's not only because I love motorcycles. In the way that my heart was captured by K2, my heart was captivated long ago by the visceral rewards of this internal combustion machine, allowing me tension release and inspiration.
The reason I ride is because it allows me to be me. K2 fell in love with the me that rides. If I were forced to stop riding, I fear I would cease to be me. That would be tragic for us both.

Wild at Heart by John Elderedge.
Highly contested, controversial book about the feminization of men in society. His wife wrote one for women, too. Scrap 50% of the Christian stuff (the guy does not know or intentionally bends scripture to suit his point) and the remainder is what we've all been feeling..... It's how I'm raising my boy.
Grunt, grunt, grunt.

I don't subscribe to every idea that comes from Elderedge's pages, but I absolutely believe in the basic underlying "problem" of identity between men and women.
