Just wondering what your favorite helmets have been and why. Still looking at the Vstrom so you guys that have experienced buffeting and had an improvment with a helmet change what did it? Also, would love a flip up, but is there still worry of weak spots in the temples? thanks

Haven't really crashed tested a large range, but my Arai has always been the most comfy and the brand name is well represented. I've worn AGV, HGC and the Arai.

Shoei X-11 or Multitec in the flip-up design. These are both nice and quiet. The X-11 is the race helmet and has really great airflow for hot days, and the Multitec is a new design that seems to be quite nice without a lot of buffet or wind noise. The ear pockets are set up to take earphones for communication/radio applications.

Shoei (I don't remember the model number)...
I've had two different Shoei helmets and various others. The two Shoei helmets were by far the most comfortable of the bunch.
They're expensive... but put one on and you'll see why.
