Ebay special. In my size even according to the Aerostitch sizing people. Supposedly purchased in 1998 and used once. It certainly seems to be in new condition with the exception of the foam around the pads is going a little crumbly from age and it's missing one of the little plastic zipper pull covers on one vent. A steal, imho at less than 60% cost of new to boot!

I was going to order a High-Viz/High-Viz new one, but when i found this I couldn't pass it up.

Good looking 'Stitch you snagged there Evil.

Get ready- Now little kids are going to ask you if you're a real live astronaut when you're at the quickie mart.

I've gotten that question a few times when I'm all geared up. Cracked me up the first time.

And of course I reply to them, "Absolutely, Yes. Yes I am a real live Astronaut."

That suit is amazing.

I found a hand written size and date inside the reflective pocket on the left front.

44R

10/11/95

I reinstalled the pads and took it out for a ride. I also threw on the A/S Rain Boot covers I picked up.

For some reason I thought I might hit some rain this evening.

HOLY CRAP. I'll ride in about anything but this was almost too much. I did about 20 miles in the heaviest/windiest crap I've seen in quite awhile. (Conveniently, I have a lot of experience splashing around in the water...)

I finally got home and inspected.

Boots: Just a little dampness on the lowest portion of the leather at the toes. No water inside. Dry socks.

Me. A little streak of dampness on my shirt front and a splotch on the inside of my left thigh from where I had the suit positioned with an open zipper cover. I fixed that as soon as it became apparent and had no other issues.

Since the suit is 12 years old, I think I'll get some waterproofing stuff from AS and touch it up, but I'm totally impressed with the first performance. Especially for an effectively naked bike in a tropical storm.

I thought they would ask him if he was there to pick up their garbage. :D

Just joking Evil...I have been considering purchasing Olympias' one piece AST suit. Just not sure if I want to go one piece or two. Hmmmmmmm....Let me know how the one piece works out for you.

As a life H.O.G. member, I can safely that I don't think that you will get thrown out of H.O.G.. They still haven't tossed me out for getting the Bandit and I have never and will never own any chaps. On ladies they look O.K., but on guys they just lookGay Too much hanging out in the breeze.
