I was in need of a new chain. I think I solved that problem kind of... I bought a new chain cut the old one off and put the new one on that was way too long. No I didn't check BUT no they did not give me the right one. I am going to use the pronoun "they" until "they" make it right. If not, I will shortly be posting why I will not do business there anymore. Needless to say, I need to change a sprocket on the front and lack the impact or socket to do the job. I would also like to do a throttle body sync and was wondering if anyone had a manometer. I would be glad to provide cigars and beer for said event. I just think it would be a good time to get the bikes all fixed up before a lot of people park them or in my case ride the winter season. Saturday the 1st... who's game?

You do realize that most times, you have to take some links out of a new chain to make it fit your bike, right? You don't buy them to custom fit your bike. You buy the next size larger than what you need and break the chain to fit with a chain tool. qwer

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it on Saturday but I do have a manometer (the morgan carbtune2) that you're welcome to use :)

This is the information I found out this morning when I called the shop. It was my fault for not asking enough questions. There are a few things that differ from cars to bikes and important information gets left out. I've been working on classic cars since I was 16 but Bikes only since Feb. It is a learning process and well, lesson learned. So, that being said the chain is now on and works wonderfully. Next time I will buy a chain tool which will make the job a hellova lot easier.
Ted, it doesn't have to be the 1st, that was just a day I came up with. Now that the chain is on we can set a tech day for really any day. Someone make a suggestion.

good deal, yeah I think I've got it all set up. I took a small ride to run a couple errands and it's amazing how different a new chain feels... I think I'll pay a little more attention to this one and make sure it doesn't get as bad.

I've got a set of Tourances to mount up and some brake pads that need to be replaced, but I won't be back in until the 12th. If we wait till that weekend then I'll be there, but if ya'll have it before that, then I'll just wrench all by my lonesome.

I'm up for whenever. I've got a few things to add to the list of to do's. I need to change brake fluid and pads, and I've got to do an oil change. I will be leaving on the 15th to go back to Texas. So either weekend is fine for me. Is anyone other than Aaron and Ted interested in a specific date?

+1
Nothing I need to work on is mobile at the moment, but I wouldn't mind learning some tricks for future destruction.

How about the 15th at my place? I'm not cooking this time. Can I get a volunteer BBQ Master?

Dude, that's two weeks away. All I can say is that I'll be there early for dinner prep. If you want to ride up with me then all you have to do is show up........rain or shine.

And Jason, don't forget your Frogg Troggs if it's raining. You already said that you got a set.
So this is gonna be at Casa Juicebox or Casa Torres? I've got some wiring I need to do and shit.

I think we'd probably have a better showing to do it at Juice's, but my shop is always open as well.
