I'm figuring on an extra couple of master links, basic tools, first aid kit, tube repair kit (if not extra tubes), What else am I missing? Other than the obvious: Coffee, water, sterno, coffee, beans, sleeping bag, coffee, etc.
I've never done an overnight ride before over land.
I also wish I could carry more fuel than the 2.something gallons the stock tank holds.

Ease up on the coffee, definitely take tubes. This time of year, hand warmers, emergency blanket. Book? List of hotels and restaurants in the area?qwer

Never camped as I stay in hotels on my long rides right now, but I carry a spare for just about every piece on my bike that has ever broken, or if it did break would leave me on the side of the road and all the tools to change said parts. Don't forget a tire pump of some sort. I carry a small 12v model I got a Walmart. I've had to use it a couple times after plugging tires and it works well. Extra headlight, JB weld, spare set of keys, zip ties, etc.

Ritten started a thread about equipment and gear. I can't seem to find it at the moment, maybe he will post up if he can remember its location.

Some wire, tank tape to do any quick repairs. A plastic 1 gallon fuel can can be strapped to the rack. A head flash light. I carry 3 small CO2 cannisters with valve adapter and plugs to repair/inflate tires (comes as part of the BMW tool kit)
