I wiped out just 40 minutes ago. I was leaving work, hadn't made it down the street a block, and wiped out on the wet pavement! Man, knobbies and oily, wet tarmac don't play well together! An SUV got over in front of me, naturally no signal, and I got on the front brake a little too hard. Next thing I know, me and KilLeR are going sideways and parting company at a brisk 20 MHP.

My riding gear and the fork clamps soaked up the nastiness. Just a soar ankle and right tumb. Now my wife, wonderful woman she is, is on her way to pickup my goofy ass.

More character marks. I think the forks twisted in the clamp...again. Shifter is lose. The handlebars might be bent. I stashed it at work and will check it over tomorrow when I get it home.

The knobbies are TKCs, excellent in the dry, not so good in the wet!

I did the same thing a couple months back with Kenda 270's. Stripped the footpeg bolts out. Also bent up the shifter. Also bruised my body. Kendas suck.

Not me. I was caging it today.

I've rode in the rain plenty just not with the knobbies.

Looked the KLR over last night, fixed the front forks and rode it around the yard. Seems okay. I'm gonna look it over real good when I get more time this weekend. Man, I love that machine! Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!
