as the title said... latest farkle (if you'd consider it one)... Power Commander III usb... installed it tonight... was easy to install 1 wire to the battery and there were 5 sets of plugs that intercepted the factory ones... (unplug the factory one and plug into the PC3 harness and then plug the pc3 harness into the factory socket)... 1 for each of the injectors (just the lower injectors on the 1000rr as it has upper and lower ones) and 1 set for the TPS (throttle position sensor) and then one ring to go on the negative battery terminal...

Only pain in the butt about installing was having to remove the tail piece, both seats, tank cover, tank, and side fairing to get to all the right spots... total install time less than an hour....

Opinions... WORTH EVERY CENT!!!! the bike feels like an entirely new bike! power in increased across the entire powerband and the power delivery feels like its in a much better curve...

I'm using a map provided by Taylormade (my exhaust's manufacturer) which was done on an almost identical setup bike to mine at almost exactly the same altitude so it should be fairly close... will get it dyno tuned eventually but its all good so far....

Those of you with fuel injected bikes I highly recomend it :)

What model is that Greg? I only had one plug to disconnect and a ground wire!

hmmm its for my 07 CBR 1000RR... you had one on your gixxer? if so it must have had one wire harness somewhere that all the injector's wires passed through or something? but thats interesting to know... means installation on some bikes may be even easier then on mine :P

I got the same "easy on the brain" hook-up:D
The PCIIIusb for my 'busa only has one harness connection. It was also easier to install. All I had to do was remove the front seat, unbolt and pivot the tank over, route and secure wiring, then put everything back together.

And yea, it made a big improvement with the throttle response also.

I have one for the 00 cbr 929 rr, and it's just one, inline cable and ground wire too...

I've heard of an optional ignition harness for mine that's available separately, which would add a good bit of extra connections to the mix...

For my Buell XB, I built a $40 cable and downloaded a free program called ECMSpy and my laptop plugs into the ECM. I can reflash anything I want to as well as monitor sensor readings while it is plugged in. I can also do all of the dealer stuff as well.
