We took a ride today, from our new location in New Mexico. No long commute, no traffic, just hit the mountain roads right from our house.

That's it, behind all the trees.
We decided to ride some familiar fire roads and ATV trails, more or less off the beaten path.
We found that the fire roads had deteriorated quite a bit since our last ride in this area.

Riding the ridges affords some nice views.

We decided to cut from one valley to another via ATV trails. We didn't exactly get lost, but we did get powerful confused for a couple of hours.
The ATV trails were really rough, rocky and difficult to get any pictures of the more difficult sections, as we couldln't stop.

And a few of these...

And we even found some remnants of an era gone by...trestles from an old narrow guage railroad used in logging.

We finally found familiar territory and found our previously left markings had deteriorated also. Time for a new sticker.

If you look hard, you can find some snow.

Then we twisted our way back home.
