Just ordered the tires for the trip and a new set of touring tires for the rest of my riding. Went with Dunlop D616s for the Vegas ride and ordered a set of Continental Road Attacks like Doug (ka5ysy) has OEM on his R1200R.
Some weirdness, though. :shady: The BMW OEM tires are different part numbers from the standard R/As. I ordered the BMW OEM parts as I want to get the mileage that Doug seems to be getting out of his stockers. The sizes are the same and I figure that the worst that can happen is the V-twin will try to twist itself out the sides of the frame and I'll have an overwhelming urge to drink Starbucks coffee. :stirpot:
Seriously, though, other than the extra $5 per tire, :lame: what could be different? qwer
